The Maintenance Landscape Model serves as the maintenance backbone for coherence across processes, roles and professional practice.

PPM&AM is designed for professionals and organisations that want to connect Maintenance and Asset Management in an integrated way: one shared language, a clear line from governance to execution, and demonstrable practice-based learning outcomes.
The programme also offers an internationally recognised development route for those who wish to explore AAMC and CTAM. SSAMM supports you with the right preparation and with building a portfolio (evidence of what you can do in practice). Any official assessment and award of a possible designation/certification is then performed independently and externally via WPiAM.

Programme at a glance (module-based)
PPM&AM stands for Professional Programme Maintenance & Asset Management. PPM&AM is a 5 ECTS programme (β120 hours) and is module-based: participation and completion are organised per module (not per block).
- The programme consists of 6 modules.
- One module covers 6 hours and consists of three 2-hour blocks (teaching units within the module).
- The SSAMM Educational Line of Sight creates an integrated learning pathway: participants from different roles and levels learn together in one class, building shared language within a consistent normative framework.
- AAMC: awareness entry level, delivered as a one-day training (8 hours, including breaks) (in-company only, on request). The content and learning outcomes of AAMC are integrated within PPM&AM..
- CTAM: technical specialist level. CTAM competence development is fully covered within PPM&AM through module-based learning and assessment (cases and project assignments), with a focus on portfolio readiness. In practical terms, CTAM supports technically accountable professionals in making maintenance and asset decisions defensible and transferable within an AM governance context.
CTAM designation is not an objective in itself: the strength of PPM&AM is that it is internationally aligned. SSAMM is a Recognised Training Partner (RTP) within WPiAMβs Global Certification Scheme (GCS), meaning participants can β if desired β connect to the external AAMC/CTAM pathway within the scheme (designation assessment and award remain external).
AAMC is delivered as a one-day training (8 hours, including breaks). Until 8 September 2026, AAMC is in-company only and on request; after that we will re-plan and publish the schedule.
CTAM is delivered as a full learning route and equals 5 ECTS (β120 hours), depending in part on your existing knowledge, skills and competences in the field of Maintenance & Asset Management (M&AM) at the start.
